|
One of my new best friends here at work, who knows of my bushfood plans, has pointed out to me that the latest edition of Grass Roots magazine has an article on bush foods.
The author is Megg Miller, and is discussing the bushfood crops of Dennis Jenkin and Andy Krohn, in Northwood, Vic.
It's an excellent little article with good information about how they started out and some of the realisations about bushfoods; for eg, that they need solid watering to bear commercially. :) very, VERY helpful to me.
Reference: Miller, Megg. Bushfoods Boom. Grass Roots 173, Feb/March 2006, p12-14.
Strangely, Grass Roots doesn't have a website at all, which is kinda odd for a sustainability mag ... however, it's listed with others of similar ilk here: http://www.greenharvest.com.au/links/links_additional.htm#Magazines
Megg is also apparently one of the leading chook people in Australia (http://www.diggers.com.au/TheTruthAboutChooks.htm). _________________ eat australia: grow it, find it, eat it: http://blog.eataustralia.info
