NATIVE FOOD MENUS AT KOOROOMBA VINEYARDS
If you live in Brisbane to South East Queensland area in Australia, or are visiting SE QLD Scenic Rim area, in Boonah there is a restaurant at Kooroomba Vineyards. Even though they're not a Bushfood restaurant, they sometimes serve native foods and meats on their menu. I've never eaten here but have driven up to their lavendar farm at the vineyards. I am on their newsletter list so get regular updates on their menus & other news. Their annual ultimate lunch is coming next month on 18th June 2011.
One Australian native foods dish to be served is: Kangaroo Fillet on Lemon Myrtle Polenta & Native Berries, accompanied by Kooroomba Shiraz.
Contact & address details: Kooroomba Vineyards, FM Bells Rd, Mt Alford via Boonah QLD Australia. Ph 07 5463 0022 Email enquiries@kooroomba.com.au
Over the years, I have seen various other native foods dishes & desserts popping up on their menus, so if you live in the area or are visiting, it might be a nice place to visit and eat. I've visited Scenic Rim quite a number of times, and in sunny weather, it is a very beautiful, scenic place to visit and drive through, especially when all the grass and fields have turned green just after rain, but nice enough at other times too. There's lots of attractions, things to do, wineries and foods to eat. It is an international tourist destination, such that there are a number of luxurious accommodation options available, such as Peppers.
One website for tourists wanting to visit Scenic Rim area is http://www.visitscenicrim.com.au.
There's 1 or 2 other comprehensive, official websites which I can't remember off hand.
