Hello from Flo

Postby flo » Sun May 02, 2010 10:08 pm

G'day, I am a native plant propagator and bush carer on the Fleurieu Peninsular, South Australia. I am a passionate supporter of our indigenous vegetation and actively encourage the growing and planting of native species in reveg as well as private gardens. I may be able to help with info on SA species and local weeds on this forum. Cheers :D

G'day flo and welcome to the forum

Was wondering if you have access to Duboisia leichardtii images or seed?

Seed may actually not be around till about Nov. but access to someone who can harvest that seed would be excellent 8)

Hello J A , thanks for the welcome.
No go I am afraid. It is not listed in my area at all. There is a listing for D. hopwoodii on Eyre Peninsular and the Murraylands in SA. Will keep an eye out next time I go to EP.

Why anyone would expect a South Australian to have this.. is a bit mind boggling.

The more you talk the better it gets..
Most of the blokes try and get off the dinkum sheila tag..

So then, should I aspire to be a ratbag ?

I think you make a rather nice dinkum sheila. :)

I got a good part of the shadehouse frame up, but it has nearly killed me doing it. Not up to dancing tonight, or even partaking of a glass of wine.

Fungi Pics

Postby flo » Tue May 11, 2010 6:13 pm

Hope you're feeling better Mycke,
I have now posted some of last year's and a few new fungi pics on my Photosite.

http://s395.photobucket.com/albums/pp35 ... 0Fleurieu/

This album Fungi on Fleurieu is divided into two others that show either in the Conservation Park or in My Garden.

They may not be of too much interest to you but you may be able to help identify them. I will have to remember to put something to help show scale. Also if they are upended to show the gills or underneath structure, I am guessing would be valuable. From now on I promise I will think before I shoot. :)[/url]
