Burringbar Native Nursery

These guys in Burringbar N NSW are fantastic! A contantly changing range of interesting tropical, subtropical, bushfood, etc.

15 mins to Murwillumbah and 30mins from Byron.

Surely one of the only nurseries outside the ethno community who grow Duboisia myoporoides "for fun"? ;)

They seem to be excellent, would love to visit one day. My experience with them is limited to an unfortunate episode where some Citrus australasica's I ordered from them got lost in the mail (entirely Aust Post's fault by the way). Burringbar didn't charge me a cent, which goes to show they are generous and honorable too. When one of the shipments finally arrived (with some lame Aust Post excuse) 4 weeks later, even though the plants were past recovery, I could tell that if Aust Post hadnt stuffed up the delivery, they were fine seed-grown specimens indeed. A real shame that. But the guy at Burringbar was incredibly nice and understanding about the whole situation (after all, I could have just been making up the fact that the plants were lost in the mail!)

Last I heard they were going to bill Aust Post for the value of lost product. I hope they were successful in their claim.
