Macadamia integrifolia

Does anyone have a tree in their garden from which they could harvest some fruit and post to me.

Willing to swap for some other seeds or otherwise reimburse you for the trouble.

Are you planning on grafting them or for use as seedlings?

Not at this stage roughbarked. I am not aiming to go into commercial production of Macadamia nuts so I don't necessarily want my trees to produce tens of kgs of nuts per season. Just enough for our own consumption and my propagation of them for use in landscapes.

I am thinking two to three seed grown, genetically unique and cross pollinating plants would probably produce a reasonable quantity of nuts for most people.

I would like to introduce some into our local community garden as well and see how they perform.

I would be hard pressed to obtain cuttings of commercial varieties anyway.

Why? Do you have access to any Macadamia trees?

Bluetongue in Geelong does - one that has rather a lot of fruit laying around under the tree apparently. I am swapping him some Apium insulare seed for a prepaid post pak full of fruit.

But some more nuts from another tree would be welcome if you also have access to a tree.

Was just wondering what you intended to do with them.
