Acacia Baileyana/Longifolia(sophorae) Viable Source?

Postby Yage's Apprentice » Tue Mar 06, 2007 12:25 pm

Hey Yall,
Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with A. Baileyana, A.Longifolia, var sophorae extractions? Is it a viable source? I know that A. Maidenii isn't, even though much literature states it is. Any feedback would be apprecited. Does anyone also have any alkaloid concentration information for this species?
Thankyou.

baileyana, I'm sure has harmaline, but in low quantities, less than 0.02%
but DMT would be too low for your money. if you perfect your extraction technique and are willing to spend $20-30 you might get one hit of harmaline for your money, but it would probably take a while and you'd have to use over half a kilo. I would just use passionflower, but I don't like harmalines, neither does shulgin. (MAOIs tend to be addictive).

these are the only wattles within reasonable distance of metro adelaide with enough population to enable ID and extrac.
however, they are just the most well-known, there are others locally which contain high quant, just unresearched.

doing ethanol extrac on 300g sophorae.
waiting for evaporation, give update in week or two may-b

a tip; alkaloids are insectisides.
where are there the most insects?
where it's moist.
hence, look in the hills, if you can't find it, it's on the coast.
