Warrigals (Tetragonia tetragonioides)

From memory, this plant was listed as a weed in a CSIRO publication. Does anyone know the book I mean? Big heavy A4 sized softcover... lists basic details of the plants and locations where they're a problem.

Interesting. It's a scrambler, to be sure, but I didn't think it grows _that_ well ... sorry, I don't know the book, either :)

I think this is the one (retrieved from local library website):

Noxious weeds of Australia.
Author: Parsons, W. T. (William Thomas)
Publisher: Melbourne : CSIRO, 2001.

Do you have access to that book, EA?

It definitely has the potential
I planted some last winter for eating and they have now taken over a good portion of one of my vegie beds. They are getting full perth sun (HOT atm), very little water and loving it.

Indole, do you grow any other bushfood species and how are they going? Any others to recommend or warn us of?

yeah regarding warrigals, they propagate from multiple methods too - seed is very viable, near 100%, no pretreatment needed... it layers too (roots where it hits the ground)

Definitely has the potential when there's enough water around...
