G'day from Cairns

Postby wameron36 » Tue Oct 12, 2010 9:08 pm

Hi there,
Have been lurking around this forum for a while now, reading lots of old posts and information. Finally decided to make an account and introduce myself to the community.

My name's Cameron. I'm 18 and living up in Cairns, studying environmental engineering at uni. I'm a bit of a hippy, and just love the outdoors, camping, exploring and hiking and such. Also real interested in real primitive living, and living off the land, whether that be bush survival or just incorporating aspects into my normal life.

I've spent countless hours searching around the internet for information, and have been reading a few books about Australian bush foods also.

Now I'm actually going out looking for foods to try, or noticing so many more plants and foods that I never did before.

All I can say is that it's great. I'm really enjoying it, and find it quite interesting, especially the psychoactive plants which are extremely interesting, knowing about the different alkaloids and toxins and such that cause these effects.

Anyway, look forward to posting a bit more on here, and joining in.

Cheers
Cameron :)

(P.S. Are there any more members from up my area?)
