Anyone have any information on the edibility of the spike rush? Is it the same as water chestnut? I have searched on the net, but not found any useful info so far.
24 hrs later.....It seems that the plant I have here looks like the spike rush, but it is not the Chinese chestnut. There must be different varieties. The rhizome of this plant tastes bitter when eaten raw. Has anyone any more info on this plant PLEASE.
