Hi and welcome to the forum.

I had to google that state forest. Looks like it's in the goldfields area. I know there have been various forum threads dealing with Victorian bushfoods and goldfields species in particular. The easiest way to find them is to use this forum's search function/button... hmm... the forum has changed recently so I'd better check that there IS a search function

What I can tell you off the top of my noggin is that there's a goldfields nursery that stocks bushfood plants - look up their website. And my favourite books for Victorian bushfood and medicinal native plants are by Beth Gott and Nelly Zola - 'Koorie Plants Koorie People' (this is most suitable for your needs)... and by Keith and Irene Smith - 'Grow your own bushfoods'.
